WOTS NEWS #1
I'm excited to bring you the very first edition of WOTS news and look forward to sharing with you an insight into our OT role, our fresh engaging approach, and the people we meet along the way.
As my vision for the company grows I am extremely proud of my team, our results and how we can make a difference for our customers and clients across every aspect. These newsletters are a way to share the successes, up and coming plans, a spotlight on those that inspire us and case studies that showcase our role.
WHERE IT ALL STARTED: With a passion for OT and having travelled the world, I found myself in the insurance industry, working with clients who were catastrophically injured during workplace accidents. This was a role out of my comfort zone and far cry from the hospital wards I knew so well, in both Sydney and London.
My desire to work as a ‘hands on’ OT was re-ignited after meeting many inspirational clients recovering from brain injuries, spinal injuries and amputations in both Workcover and CTP schemes. It knew I had more to give.
Realising the great need for community occupational therapy services, especially with an understanding of the insurers perspective, Wise OT Solutions was born!
OUR VISION: We pride ourselves on bridging the gap between community OT and the insurance world, knowing the legislative requirements and collaborating to achieve some great outcomes for injured people. With resounding success.
OUR PEOPLE: Our small team has grown over the last 3 years, to meet the demands of our customers. All of our OT’s have been hand picked for their specialised skills and all have a minimum of 10 years clinical experience in brain injury, spinal injury, amputees, burns, aged care or neurological rehabilitation.
LEADING THE INDUSTRY: Ongoing professional development is incorporated into our daily practice as we believe in providing the most up to date, evidence based practice, relevant to the industry. You will bump into our Wise OT’s at courses run by the Motor Accidents Authority, Lifetime Care & Support Authority and Brain Injury Association of NSW, just to name a few.
COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE: Face to face claims reviews with our insurers and in house injury management services are a couple of the additional services we offer. We have developed a reputation for managing the most difficult of claims and moving them forward to achieve great things for the injured person and the insurer. Our quality surveys ensure we're continuously improving.
WHERE YOU'LL FIND US: From Newtown to Nygnan and Picnic Point to Parkes. We are available to see clients across Australia and often travel to rural areas to work our OT Magic! Our OT's are spread throughout Sydney metropolitan area to allow greater access for clients and more cost effective services.
CONNECT: If you’d like to know more about the services Wise OT Solutions can provide, please don’t hesitate to email or call me directly on 0414 627 930.
